Event Annoucement: Snort Class
Overview:
Gartner once famously published a paper declaring “IDS is Dead” but since when does anyone outside of non technical management listen to Gartner? Exactly. Thats why IDS and IPS (from here on out referred to as “I[DP]S”) are still alive, thriving, and becoming more advanced. In this class, we will cover not only the most notorious I[DP]S but the most prevalent in the InfoSec world. Why is it so prevalent? Because it is fully open source and highly customizable. If you are looking for a job, it is good to have Snort on there.
